Hi Patrick -
I've visited the site and am overcome with emotion at some of the things I've found there. I have a couple of group photos from my time there in the '50s, and I'll forward them in the next few days. Looking at the list of staff I find a notable exception in the much feared and loved Bejamin "Benjie" Lyon who retired soon after we moved to the new Rowlinson building from Carfield. He was definately one of the "old school" Since I sat on the front row I found my self a handy target for him grabbing me by my ear and dragging me to my feet with the words "Stand up, boy!" because I'd made an error in quoting a passage from the Bible (times sure have changed) or some such thing. Why did we love him? God only knows! I also found an "old girl" who was a contempary, and she lives in the same city as I do currently. I also still have my old school tie - perhaps I should donate it to the museum.
