I just looked at the staff list and found a very obvious omission [to me anyway]. What about Doris Varah? She taught english. specialised in english lit. She was one of the staff who transferred with Charley Kay from Carfield and thus was a founding member of teaching staff. She left to go with the girls to King Ecgbert's when that new school opened at Totley in about 1956 [plus or minus]. I have been corresponding with Alan Barlow who discovered my name on the site. So there you are -it does work.
