Subject: Benjamin "Ben" Lyon
Looking at the list
of former staff at Rowlinson I see that old "Ben" is notable by his absence. I
began at the old Carfield Secondary School where Mr Lyon was a definite and much
loved presence. When we moved to the 'new' Rowlinson School he came with us, but
retired soon after. Like C.V. Kay (for whom I still have the utmost respect and
affection) Mr. Lyon is an important part of the history of our old school. I have
a couple of my old class photos, together with an early school tie.
