Rowlinson Old Scholars Web Site
WELCOME!
If you're an old scholar of Rowlinson Technical School in Sheffield, UK, this is one web site that should be at the top of your bookmark list.  It's the result of a collaboration between a group of old boys dispersed around the world, who rediscovered each other through the Internet.
Rowlinson was earmarked for closure from 1982 and was 'run down' until 1988 when it became one of six Tertiary Colleges in Sheffield - the Sheffield College.  Many of the staff were dispersed or retired and all of the pupils were amalgamated with Meadowhead (formerly Jordanthorpe) across the street.  In 1997 5,000 full time students were in attendance at the old school!

This site has been constructed with the intent of discovering and connecting old Rowlinsonians from around the world with the idea of at least organising a grand reunion perhaps next year.  If you are a former pupil, staff member or have an affiliation with or an interest in Rowlinson in any other way, send  an email to Peter Rodger,
Pat Shepherd or Chris Twigg
